The hospitalization of a patient in a Mental Health Hospital is difficult due to the emotional and material problems that its processing generates in daily practice, especially with regard to transportation and coordination.

Based on current legislation and taking into account the patient's consent, 2 types of psychiatric hospitalizations are considered:
Voluntary or consented
Involuntary, non-consented or compulsive

Involuntary hospitalizations should be considered an exceptional measure, when the subject cannot give valid consent due to her illness.
